The Municipality of Anchorage (MOA) is continuing with the overall project to reconstruct Spenard Road by shifting design and construction of the northern half of the project from federal funding to Municipal bond funding.  The city, with the consultant team led by Lounsbury & Associates, has started design of planned improvements from Benson Boulevard to Chester Creek. Project goals include improving the safety, function and accommodation of all modes of travel, and even the look of Spenard Road.
