APRIL 2008 - Visit the Spenard Road: Benson Boulevard to Chester Creek Design Web site

The Municipality of Anchorage (MOA) and the Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities (ADOT&PF) are finishing the preliminary engineering and environmental phase on a project to upgrade Spenard Road from the Minnesota Drive intersection to the Minnesota Drive On-Ramp. Project goals include improving the safety, function and even the look of Spenard Road.

All documents related to the preliminary engineering of the project are archived on this web site.

In spring of 2007, the municipality selected the northern section of the project, from Benson Boulevard to Chester Creek, for design and construction using local funds. For information on this portion of the project, click here.
